We are not the closest Ford dealership to either village — and this page says so plainly. What we have is a dedicated commercial and fleet department and 900+ new Fords on the ground, about 25 minutes west via I-290 and I-88.
No, and there is no point pretending otherwise. Fair Oaks Ford is roughly 17 miles from Elmhurst and 19 from Bensenville — about 25 to 28 minutes via I-290 west to I-88 west, exiting at Naperville Road. There are Ford dealers considerably closer to both villages.
So this page is not an argument that we are convenient. It answers a narrower question: when is a 25-minute drive west actually worth making? There are two situations where it usually is, and one where it usually is not.
Bensenville sits inside the O'Hare freight corridor, and a large share of the vehicles registered there are working vehicles — box trucks, cargo vans, service bodies, chassis cabs. Elmhurst's contractor and trades base runs the same way.
Fair Oaks Ford runs a dedicated commercial and fleet department covering the full Ford commercial range: Transit and E-Transit, Super Duty, Chassis Cab, Cutaway and Stripped Chassis, plus upfit coordination and Section 179 guidance on qualifying purchases. Commercial customers work with a dedicated contact rather than the retail queue.
That matters more than mileage for a fleet buyer. If you are specifying three Transit 350s with a particular upfit, or replacing a Super Duty on a schedule, twenty-five minutes is a rounding error against getting the configuration right and the delivery timing you need. Fleet buyers travel for build availability. Retail buyers generally do not — which is the honest part of this.
We hold more than 900 new Fords and sell over 1,000 vehicles a year. On models with many configurations, that decides whether the exact truck exists today or gets ordered. We move 247+ F-150s a year across every cab, bed and powertrain from XL to Raptor, and carry one of the larger Bronco allocations in the region.
If you have already looked closer to home and the trim, drivetrain or color you wanted was not there, that is the situation this drive solves. Call before you leave and we will confirm the unit is physically on the lot.
When it probably does not make sense: if you want a common configuration of a popular model and you are buying retail, you will likely find it closer to Elmhurst or Bensenville — and we would rather tell you that here than after you have spent an hour round trip. We can still quote you a price over the phone at (630) 793-4660 so you can compare before committing either way.
Every dealership says it cares about customers. Two things separate a claim from a record, and both can be checked by someone other than us.
Ford Motor Company's recognition for dealers performing across five parts of the business in the same year: Sales Effectiveness, Ford Protect, RIM Support, Remote Experiences and Ford Credit. Fewer than 100 of roughly 2,800 U.S. Ford dealerships qualify annually — about the top 3.5%. We earned it in back-to-back years.
2021 through 2026. J.D. Power has no commercial relationship with Ford and bases the award on surveys of customers who actually bought vehicles, which makes six years running a measure of consistency rather than a single strong year.
Those are verifiable in a way that "family owned since" and "hassle-free" are not. For a buyer weighing an unfamiliar dealership 25 minutes away, that is the point of them.
Cargo, crew and passenger configurations, plus the all-electric E-Transit for short-radius routes.
F-250 through F-600, including Chassis Cab and Cutaway for upfit work.
Upfit coordination, fleet servicing and Section 179 guidance.
247+ sold annually, every cab and bed from XL to Raptor.
136+ sold annually. Three rows, available AWD, ST and hybrid.
One of the larger regional allocations, 2-door and 4-door.
Lease and APR programs change every month, so live figures sit on the specials page rather than here where they would go stale.

For retail owners in Elmhurst or Bensenville, servicing closer to home usually makes more sense — and we would say so. Ford Pickup & Delivery and Ford Mobile Service cover qualifying maintenance within our service area; call (630) 793-4680 with your address and we will tell you plainly whether you are inside it.
For commercial accounts the calculation is different. Fleet servicing is scheduled work, often overnight or off-peak, and consistency across a group of vehicles is worth more than proximity. We keep 30+ loaner vehicles and a service department sized to our sales volume.
